Week 16.

The final week.

This week has been very stressful. I've been continuing with the colouring, and have helped with some of the backgrounds, as we are missing quite a few of them.

I also added the president to a background leah had already made. 

Here are the backgrounds I've been working on :

I've tried to make them look as similar as I can to Leah's work as I can. I've done them in a painty style, similar to Leah's.

Week 15


This week I found another scene on the drive, and had to line that one, but mainly this week has been about colouring in.

This last video was the one I needed to do the line art on, but I thought I'd just show you it like this as I went straight into the colouring once I'd lined it.

Week 14 -

This week I've found rather stressful. Mainly due to being the soul person who is colouring at the moment, and doing the line work, It has been a little overwhelming, but even though, I still have done the work I wanted to get finished.

After discussing with my team about this scene, we decided the blankets looked a little stiff in this shot, so I edited it to have a little more movement.

With that I'm done with the line work, and now I can focus solely on the colouring.

Study Task 5 - Walk This Way Page

Walk this way:

I'm not the best when it comes to 3D animation, but It was interesting to create a walk cycle in Maya. I feel It pushed me try new things, as I have fallen rather into a routine, and this made me to try a new skill.

Saying that, I found this task incredibly difficult. Working on it was enjoyable in some aspects, but I still didn't really have the best experience with it, as I just seam to be able to fully grasp the skill of 3D animation.

Study Task 4 - Talk This Way Page

I actually really enjoyed this study task. I've always been really interested in lip syncing. And I have dabbled in it before :

But this task was different to how I'd previously tried to lip sync. Instead of drawing it straight on, like I did with that practice run. This task called for us to use after affects. And I thoroughly enjoyed doing it.

Animation 3: Character & Narrative - Week 13.

Week 13.

This week I continued colouring and the line art.  I coloured in the dungaree scene and began animating the bedroom scenes.

This scene took much longer to animate than I had expected. But I am happy with the way it turned out.

I also finished colouring the punch scene. And I am very pleased with the way it turned out.

Week 12



The idea of not doing the colouring while doing only the line work went out of the window this week. As it is my job to get this all done, I decided to work on both the colouring and the line art at the same time this week.

I did this one separate as I wanted to make sure the body movements where right first.

 Week 11.

I decided to just continue with the line art, and leave the colouring for a later date, as I still had a lot of line art to complete. So here are some shots I worked on this week, I was quite pleased with how quickly I was able to get these to finished.

I also edited in the slippers to the bottom video in this shot too.

I also did a cutting ribbon scene, but I discussed with the team and I have decided to do it again, as he looks clunky and the line work is to thick, compared with the other shots.

Week 10

This week was me just continuing with the line art. There was a slight hiccup though this week.

Here's a video I had slightly edited, but after discussing with the group we went back to how the roughs had been done. 

I feel I tried to change the roughs more than was needed, as the team seamed happier with me doing the artwork as the way Chris had done the roughs.
